Welcome

The Upper Delaware Unitarian Universalist Fellowship is a small congregation that meets regularly on Sundays mornings at the Berlin Township Community Center in Beach Lake, PA. A lay-lead fellowship, we pride ourselves with a diversity of leadership and an organic sense of community that emerges from our congregation. We are assisted in ministerial duties by seminarian Laurie Stuart, an M.Div. student at Starr King School for the Ministry. We gather at 10:00 a.m. and services begin at 10:15 a.m.

The Fellowship is guided by an Executive Board and has five active committees. The committees include worship, religious education, social justice, membership/pr and physical facilities.

Transitions

It is paradoxical reality that the less we know, the more we seem to learn, and the more we seem to learn, the less we seem to know. Paradox aside, I learned a basic fact about myself, that is probably most evident to everyone else, and that is that I am in transition. I know that I have great company on this journey, as this Fellowship is in transition, as is our nation and the greater world in which we live. This transition offers us the opportunity to look at the context of the change and see what it has to offer for our spiritual and organizational growth.

Threats and Opportunities

We live in a time where most everything is unreliable. In this time of unreliability, everything is not what it seems and it calls on us to move beyond what think we know as real, and embrace an unknown whose definition we have yet to learn.

The opportunity is this unreliability. The threat is our comfort, our belief that all will be well and that all we need to do is weather the storm.

Upcoming Events

In our services, we celebrate the sacred rhythms of our lives and many spiritual, environmental and humanistic principles. As Unitarian Universalists, our living tradition draws from many sources: direct experience, wisdom of the world's religions and earth-centered spiritualities, and the words and deeds of prophetic women and men.
