First Song of Christmas

Here's my first improvisation with putting my harp in the key of D and improvising like I do on the piano and Reverie Harp. Very pleased with this first attempt.

Let me know what you think.

To me the point of this song is exemplified by the line "the stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there." That's why I repeat it so many times!

It speaks to me of preparation that lead to hope. It tells me that I can live in a state of anticipation, I can take care in hopes that something will occur. Which is pretty cool when you consider that generally we are looking for some sort of a payback. Imagine taking care simply in hopes that something will happen. It's almost a relief no?

In The First Noel snipet, I was thinking that the shepherds were having a really bad night and they found something that gave them hope and they sung out in joy. Noel, Noel.

Music just makes my heart sing. You?
