Soulful Sundown Gathering

January 31, 2010 - 4:00pm

Extravaganza of music, silence and movement guaranteed to stir the soul.

With rejuvenation and balance in mind, the UDUUF is hosting the first Soulful Sundown gathering this Sunday, January 31 at 4:00 p.m. Designed by Janet Burgan, Kazzrie Jaxen and Laurie Stuart, the gathering will provide an opportunity to participate in meditative music, movement (if you want), silence and restorative poetry.

The gathering will run about an hour, and we have planned time for meditative singing, silent personal reflection and candle lighting, a spoken word or two and more singing. We're looking forward to blending of voices, the beat of African and steel tongued drums, some clear strains of a flute and the soothing vibrations of the Reverie Harp, with a little Chi Gong on the side.

It the midst of the fast pace of our world, we hope to gain a measure of peace, in community, in sound and silence. Perhaps you will find yourself there this Sunday.
